Is there any backup for the claim that the DS2 could fire its superlaser at full power every three minutes?  It's obvious that it could fire pretty often at capitalships, but the energy requirement would be much smaller, so there's no reason to think it would have to fully recharge so quickly (based on what we see in ROTJ). --[[User:Ted C|Ted C]] 16:28, 8 July 2008 (EDT)

Hmm, yes.  The "three minutes" claim is from the starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Death_Star_II article, and there's no reference for it there.  I don't know if that number comes from a Lucas interview, or from "Return of the Glove of Darth Vader."

According to the article at www.starwars.com/databank/location/deathstarii/,

"Not only could this prime weapon deliver a more devastating blast, but it could fire more often and with greater accuracy."

I'll modify the article to say "more often."  -- [[User:DreadPirateRobert|DreadPirateRobert]] 11:50, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

I think there's a pretty obvious need for references on this page. --Ted C 15:43, 30 November 2007 (EST)

I'll mark it as needing {{Cleanup}}. Feel free to mark any other pages that need references as needing cleanup, as well. - Mad 18:44, 1 December 2007 (EST)

DS2

Is there any backup for the claim that the DS2 could fire its superlaser at full power every three minutes? It's obvious that it could fire pretty often at capital ships, but the energy requirement would be much smaller, so there's no reason to think it would have to fully recharge so quickly (based on what we see in ROTJ). --Ted C 16:28, 8 July 2008 (EDT)
