The Pheonix was a prototype warp capable ship built by Zefram Cochrane launched in 2064 and humanity's first FTL capable spacecraft in the Star Trek universe. Made from a converted Intercontinental CBM, the Pheonix flew a short distance at low warp before returning. This test flight caught the attention of a Vulcan scout ship.
