Mar Defese Perimeter Spacecaft we only got to see best of both worlds. It seem to armed with at least gaint warhead with fact charging right for borg Cube. Fact fire no weapon sujgest it was only going to use warhead. Fact Borg Cube was able to destory a three of these spacecaft so quilk sugjest that they ethier did not have shields or more likly borg found soft spot in them.The fact Borg Cube wast it time destory all three of send to try stop it. Before crash it to it sugest that. Even one would had power to destory Borg Cube. The fact Starfeet send three at the Borg Cube about size smell moon. We have seen Borg Cube using two tractor beam at time two differnt targets. Reason finish off the job.

The mighty defenders of Earth

Mars Defense Perimeter spacecraft were only seen in part two of TNG "Best of Both Worlds", attempting to intercept and destroy or repel a Borg Cube that was approaching Earth. Only three were seen.

Specifications

We know almost nothing about these spacecraft.

  • It is not clear whether they are manned warships or drones of some kind.
  • It is not clear whether they have warp capability or are limited to impulse speeds.
  • It is not clear whether they are armed with weapons like phasers and photon torpedoes or behave more like long-range missiles.
  • It is not clear whether they have shields to protect them from enemy fire.

What is clear is that the Borg ship made short work of them, destroying each with a single weapon pulse.
