Ysalamir

The ysalamiri (singular ysalamir) are a species of 50 centimeter long arborial non sapient salamander like creatures that have the notable attribute of being able to project a Force] neutral sphere around themselves, in which the force's effects on the physical world are minimal. This has several pratical applications, such as being a defense against force users and to shield rapidly grown clones from the adverse effect of the living force, both of which were exploited by Grand Admiral Thrawn.
