World Devastators were several superweapons devised by Umak Leth and fielded by the Clone of Emperor Palpatine in 10ABY.

Characteristics

World Devastators were giant (although no two world mature World Devastators were the same size or shape, see below) highly automated spacecraft capable of entering a planetary atmopshere hovering over the ground on vast repulsorlift engines. They were heavily armed but their most notable features being that they were equiped powerful tractor beams that could pull in material (including ships up to the size of a Star Destroyer) and send it into Molecular Furnaces for proccessing, which provided raw material for giant automated assembly lines able to produce vast automated fleets of TIE/d starfighters, as well as being able to produce ships including star destroyers and even additional World Devastators, as well as increasing their size and armament. In a matter of months, World Devastators can devour entire planets.

Service

World Devastators were first deployed during the first Battle of Mon Calamari, in which New Republic Forces (Complete with Capital Ship support) proved to be incapable of stopping them as they devoured vast streches of the planet. They were only stopped thanks to stolen imperial security Files, allowing New Republic forces to disable the automated production facillities.
