Vibroweapon

A vibroweapon is a catch all term for any melee weapon that enhances its damage by vibrating at several thousand hertz, creating a sawing effect as the sharp portion of the weapon cuts into its target. These vibrations are also transmitted to the victim, causing damage as they violently shake flesh and bone. They have a reputation as extremely messy, nasty ways to die. Vibroweapons are often found in the hands of bodyguards, thugs, and others who value intimidation. Assassins typically forgo these noisy weapons.
