The United Kingdom of Great Britian and Northern Ireland is a Parliamentry constitutional Monarchy located in the British Isles, north of France.
The British Empire
From the 17th through 19th centuries, the English (and later the unified British) engaged in campaigns of colonial expansion, settling at first with settler colonies in North America and trading ports in India and the East Indies and plantations in the Caribbean sea, it eventually expanded to include India, Australia, Canada and large chunks in Africa. This was possible due to naval supremacy.
