The USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-C) was an Ambassador-class starship and the fourth Federation starship to carry the name Enterprise.
History
In 2344, the Enterprise-C received a distress call from a Klingon outpost on Narendra III. When the Enterprise-C responded to the call, she found the outpost under attack by Romulan warships.
Despite being heavily outnumbered, the Enterprise engaged the attackers to defend the outpost. The Enterprise was destroyed, but the Klingons regarded her sacrifice as an act of honor, which led to a change in relations between the Klingon Empire and the United Federation of Planets, eventually leading to an alliance between the two powers.
In the original timeline, the Enterprise-C only destroyed one Romulan Warbird. However, in the modified timeline, the Enterprise-C destroyed two ships and was boarded by the Romulans.
