The Prometheus (also known as the X-303 and latter, BC-303) was a US Military spacecraft and the first Tau'ri capital ship.

History

The soul ship in her class, the Prometheus was a prototype, serving as a testbed for Reverse Engineered Technology, which were latter used in the more advanced Daedalus-class Battlecruiser. It was first launched in late 2002 when it was hijacked by Rogue NID agents. In 2003, the Prometheus lost its hyperdrive capability for a few months when its Naquadria reactor overloaded. It also participated in the Battle of Antarctica in 2004. In 2005, the Prometheus participated in preventing the Ori from established their supergate at Kallana. It was destroyed in early 2006 in the Battle of Tegalus by an ori weapons platform
