A Tomkah is an armored fighting vehicle developed and used by the krogan in Mass Effect.

Features

  • The Tomkah is a large AFV with a large passenger compartment to accomodate the krogan for whom it is designed.
  • The vehicle is armed with a dorsal turret with two barrels. This is presumably some type of mass accelerator cannon.
  • The vehicle has high ground clearance for navigating the difficult terrain of Tuchanka.

Unlike the Systems Alliance Mako, Tomkahs do not appear to have a mass effect core, so they do not have some of the maneuverability advantages of the Mako. On the other hand, they are presumably more robust, easier to operate, and easier to maintain.
