Tatooine is a planet on the outer rim of the Star Wars galaxy. Tatoonine is a desert world with very little in the line of water (which was not always the case acording to EU material), but still supports an ecosystem including Wamp Rats, Kyrat Dragons and Dewbacks and two species of sapients, Jawas and Sand People, as well as having an small population of Humans and other lifeforms. Tatooine is a backwater with little government, with Slavery being legal and the biggest holders of power being organized crime, among the most orginzation of which was headed by the late Hutt Crimelord Jabba Desilijic Tiure. It is notable for being the Homeworld of Darth Vader and his son Luke Skywalker
