Tatooine is a planet on the outer rim of the Star Wars galaxy. It is a desert world with very little in the way of water (which was not always the case acording to EU material), but still supports an ecosystem including Wamp Rats, Krayt Dragons, Dewbacks, and two species of sapients -- Jawas and Sand People -- as well as having an small population of Humans and other lifeforms.
