  • "...but he has never demonstrated superhuman speed in combat."
    • Didn't he actually show these capabilities in "A Fistful of Data's"? I suppose you could argue that it was a holodeck-program and that Data never actually had a chance to prove the point. But don't forget that Troi and Worf both brought it up and the assumption that Data - as an android - would have superhuman combat reflexes with a gun was a plot-point. --BountyHunterSAx 01:13, 13 February 2008 (EST)
      • It was assumed, but it still wasn't demonstrated. Beyond that, getting his gun clear of the holster at superhuman speed shouldn't be a problem; that's a predictable motion. Aiming and firing the target would be less predictable, but he would have a head start because of his faster draw speed, making him dangerous in a quick-draw contest. --Ted C 09:14, 13 February 2008 (EST)
        • ST:FC also showed that the front of Data's torso (at least) is bulletproof. That would give him another distinct advantage in a shoot-out with .45's. --Ted C 15:20, 26 March 2008 (EDT)
