In Wikipedia when they discuss a movie, strategy game, battle, etc, there's a box in the top-right corner which has a brief run down of the statistics - force dispositions on both sides, and a one/two sentence synopsis. How do you do that? I think it would be very useful for us to adopt a similar convention. --BountyHunterSAx (ForgotToSign)

Templates have parameters passed to them, like functions in programming. For example, a simple template could be {{HelloWorldTemplate|firstName=Bob}} and then the template would create a centered box with lots of fancy markup that says "Hello World! Meet Bob." Then I could call the template again, and get the same fancy box but with a different name.
So, basically, I'd need the various entries we'd enter in. Like you said, force dispositions, synopsis, etc. Except with the "etc" defined... - Mad 13:01, 16 November 2007 (EST)
