A starship more powerful then a star frigate but weaker then a star cruiser. Typically considered a battlecruiser or battleship on the sector level classification scale. Estimated and known reactor power is in the 10^24 watts range, with some in the 10^25 watts. In many cases the distinction between a star destroyer and star cruiser is determined not by power, but by the ability to fulfill a number of roles beyond ship-to-ship combat. An example of this would be the Imperial-class star destroyer's ability to land and support troops.
