The film has a very mixed reception, in no small part because of the negative nitpicking revolving around criticism of the how the romance between Anakin and Padame was done, even though those scenes only took up a small portion of the movie. Praise for it includes the battle scenes and showing the failings of the Old Republic and the Jedi Order.
