A Space Suit is a system worn as a garment to maintain a personnal habitable enviroment for the wearer in space.
Space suits in Science Fiction
- For technical reasons relating to bulk and time required to don spacesuits, some engineers had sugjested a catagory of spacesuit which instead of providing pressure to the user via compressed air provides pressure to the user through mechanical pressure. Several science fiction universes (such as Planetes) have embraced this idea.
- Stormtrooper Armor can be used as a spacesuit for a limited period of time
