Pixar Animation Studios is an animation studio owned by the Disney Corporation. It started as a division of Lucasfilm that focused on the newly technology of computer animation in 1979, eventually becoming its own company in 1986. Pixar is now well known for the quality of its material, with top notch stories and characters brought to life with state of the art animation.
