Order 66 was a pre-emptive command that each clone trooper was secretly given. Acording to Order 66, on the command of the Supreme Commander, the Jedi Order was to be erradicated. Order 66 was given by Palpatine at the end of the Clone Wars, resulting in the almost complete destruction of the Jedi order and was a key part in the Establishment of the Galactic Empire.
