The Low Altitude Assault Transport (LAAT) was a class of repulsorlift gunship fielded by the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. Several variants were produced to fufill different combat roles.

Variants

  • LAAT/i (Low Altitude Assault Transport/infantry)-The most common variant, the LAAT/i was designed to ferry infantry across the battlefield and to provide aerial fire support to ground forces with a powerful arsenal of three anti-personnel laser turrets, four composite beam cannons, and a pair of missile launchers.
  • LAAT/c (Low Altitude Assault Transport/carrier)-LAAT/c was designed to transport and deploy vehicles such as the AT-TE Walker, but was far more lightly armed than its infantry carrying counterpart, with only three anti-personnel laser turrets.
