A krayt dragon is a species of megafauna native to Tatooine in the Star Wars universe.
Nature
A krayt dragon is a burrowing "worm" tens of meters in diameter and hundreds of meters in length. They can move rapidly through the sands of the Tatooine deserts and somewhat less efficiently through sedimentary rock. Their mouths are filled with huge teeth, and when angry, they can expel digestive fluids that rapidly dissolve organic material.
Krayt dragons feed on any organic material they can find, including humanoid inhabitants of the planet, banthas, and even sarlacc.
