John Harriman was the captain of the [[Enterprise-B]]. In 2294, he intended to take it on some trial runs. The ship recieved a distress call for the Lakul and another transport, both of which were carrying El-Alurian refugees. He took the Enterprise out to intercept the transports. He and his crew managed to resue 49 of the refugees before the transports were destroyed by the Nexus. Unfortunately, his ship was now also caught in the Nexus. Kirk eventually managed to break the ship free, however, he was caught in the Nexus. Harriman would command the Enterprise-B for an unknown amount of time later.
