The State of Israel is a nation created in the middle eastern coast of the Mediterranean that came out of the Zionist movement in 1948.
The existence of the country, as well as it's policies in the region and it's treatment of the Palestinians, is quite controversial on SDN and is the subject of a moratorium unless there is new information to discuss.
The formation of the modern nation of Israel is sometimes cited by Christians as the fulfillment of a Biblical prophecy.
