Iconian

The Iconians are an extinct one-episode super race from the TNG episode "Contagion". Their most notable achievement was a teleportation technology capable of operating over vast interstellar distances. Despite this strategic advantage, they were apparently wiped out by one or more enemy races centuries before Federation formed.

An ancient Iconian probe was also able to install code on the computers of the USS Yamato, USS Enterprise, and a Romulan Warbird that attempted to overwrite existing code on those computers.
