Flechette launchers are weapons in Star Wars that use canisters and missles as ammunition. These canisters and missles would, upon firing of the weapon, would release hundreds of razor sharp flechetter at high speeds in a wide spread.
Anti-personelle flechette canisters are able to eliminate entire squads, and anti-vehicle variants also existed.
