The Star Wars Expanded Universe (commonly abriviated to EU) is a term used to refer to all the officially licensed fiction and technical information set in the Star Wars universe outside of the movies. EU Material is generally accepted as N or S canon, depending on age. Despite this, some events in the EU have made it controversial.
