Avatar is a science fiction film directed by James Cameron, released in 2009. It is notable for being the highest grossing film of all time. It is not to be confused with Avatar: The Last Airbender. A sequel is currently in the works

Setting

Avatar takes place on Pandora, a moon in which RDA, a mining company, has set up a mining colony. Its activities bring it conflict with indigenous primitive sapients known as the Na'vi.
