A versus debating flaw that basically amounts to "Star Trek technology is sleeker and more futuristic, while Star Wars technology is bulky and crude. Therefore Trek's technology is more advanced."

It's a flaw because something's external appearance has nothing to do with its performance. A luxury yacht is sleek and beautiful, while an aircraft carrier is big and blocky. Yet any battle between them would end with the carrier victorious.
