Tauntaun

Tauntauns are a species of herbivorous creatures native to Hoth that were domesticated by the Rebel Alliance as mounts. Tauntauns are among the preferred prey of the Wampa.

Tauntauns can survive comfortably in the frigid conditions of Hoth days, but even they cannot endure the low temperatures of Hoth nights without shelter.
