During the events of the episode, "Message in a Bottle", while the Doctor is onboard the [[USS Prometheus (NX-74913)|''USS Prometheus'']], we find Tom Paris (as a the part of the episode set back on ''Voyager'') being forced to deal with constant cases of patients from Neelix's mess hall complaining of "heartburn."  While other instances of possible food poisoning seen on the show involving Neelix's cooking are more ambiguous, this is the only time when the connection to Neelix's cooking is completely obvious.  To make matters worse, no matter how many cases of discomfort caused by the dish that he was serving, he refuses to stop feeding the dish to the crew.
