It must be noted, still, that even "normal" cloak is unrealistic - if ship bends light around itself, it cannot be seen but it also cannot see (and if it can use say, radar, then it also can be detected by radar). If cloaking field somehow "traps" sensor pulses, as well vessel's own emissions, it will hide vessel only for limited amount of time untill either it becomes unable to hold emissions within cloak field, or untill vessel becomes unable to withstand increasing amounts of heat and radiation within cloaking field. Dumping these into subspace won't serve problem, since Star Trek ships have subspace sensors too.
