You know ships travel so fast with hyperspace and all, wehy do borders matter so much in SWs. You would think being able to control an area is more tactically improtant than rather it being adjacent to a star system you own. How stragically important can a planet be beyond its industrial or resource capacity when traveling from planet to planet halfway accross the galaxy can be accomplished in hours?
